On Torture

It is hard for me to believe the debate going on about torture with the Dark Ages so far behind us. The argument I hear now is that if 911 could have ben avoided by torturing someone, such torture could be justified.

Being an atheist, shouldn't I be the one tolerant of torture? I am not saying that the god-fearing are in the Dark Ages, but shouldn't they be against it in any case? The end does not justify the means. Isn't utilitarianism tyranny against ethics? The older I get, the less I understand.

More tortured logic

Depressed!

I'm depressed, too. But not as much as I was before I read your post. Thanks for caring.

Carry on. Be a decent human being. That's the best we can do.
